FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW
I am changing my colours (and nails) into autumn mode. As usual there's an itch for darker colours and plaid patterns. And red wine. So wine red it is for me.
More colours! The last tomatoes from my garden pots. So cute you'd almost not want to eat th..munch munch nom! I like to mix them red and still green and fry them in a pan.
They got some feta cheese, garden herbs, salad and omelette to blend along with.
Now packing for Berlin; going there to perform in the weekend. There will be lots of pastel coloured things in the bag. Not for me, not for the trip nor the show, but for next week - we still have some work to finish off on the costumes for the Norma book release show; when we are performing the custom ordered numbers based on the themes of the book. Phew!
I heard it will be real warm in Berlin this weekend so might have to lighten up on my plaid-autumn-beret-and-kints mode then. Hmmm.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW - MESSY, MAGAZINE AND MOROTSKAKA
Trying to figure out what to wear today.
Everything is a mess at home and it seems I have somehow managed to magically hide away all my autumn clothes. The agony of living at two addresses.
But there has been times that it was not messy at home. Proof of that in the latest issue of Glorian Koti for example, where there is a short feature on the farm house. The pictures were taken a year ago.
Breakfast.
Includes this too.
Carrot-zuccini-date cake (=breakfast worthy.) Not sure if it's very good or just ok; the price you pay when you never measure and just randomly throw things in a pot and stir and bake. After a night in the fridge this could be quite chunky though.

FOUR THINGS TODAY
Put on some red and beige and polka dot.
Went to pick up something mint green (alright, sea foam) and very fluffy and flowing.
Made a salad with things from our garden. Goat cheese and red wine berries makes a superb combination!
I mixed lettuce, spinach leaves and rucola, random veggies (tomato, cucumber, yellow bellpepper) edible flowers, wine berries and goat cheese. Plus a balsamico vinaigrette. Summer points to the max!
Went up the hill to Eddi's aunt. She lives in a small house on top of a hill just nest to the farm house, She had picked berries and baked a blueberry pie with Dag. More summer points! (We need them, the weather is still a huge disappointment...)
A little bonus one still: you can pick cherries right out of her window! Summer points, ca-ching!

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW: THURSDAY EVENING
There's a 1930's postcard of me and Dag.
My mom sent me this.
I harvested some of the spinach and mangold from my growing boxes. I put them in the freezer but a handfull got to join some pasta earlier tonight.
I've sewed and embellished a lot ot blingy skin-tight stuff.
(People have a custom here in the countryside to just walk trough the (front) door wihtout knocking when they come over, which can be a bit funny if you happen to be trying out the tiny showgirls pants you just sew in front of the mirror. Which is next to the front door.)
(To see these in action head over to our Paris-themed club Pariisiklubi at Mascot this Saturday!)

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW
Or actually, turns out, two days ago, when I though that I had pressed Publish.*
Painted my nails five shades of red.
Took a little nap in my little in-house jungle. It's this spot here.
Read up on some pilates and anatomy.
Although right now I'm mainly waiting to get back to another kind of read.
We sometimes read crime novels together with Eddi and the new Kepler one is pretty addictive.
*)Sometimes I find drafts in my email spooking around too that I thought I had already shipped away to their receiver. To the extinct I thought there was something wrong with my account. But I guess it's just me failing at multitasking...

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW.
Or well, the other night actually, as I fell asleep before I posted.
Came home very tired and happy after a long weekend and treated myself with some organic cold cava and chocolate -
because, as some of you know (if you follow my FB page), I have started studying towards becoming a mat pilates instructor! The first very intensive but also rewarding weekend behind me now.
Altough, a nice relaxing bath and moments of solitude do not remain relaxing and alone for that long. But it doesn't matter.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW: SATURDAY MORNING
Woke up to a slow grey November morning.
Look at my plant btw. It's grown over 3 metres long during this autumn! It's called doftranka in Swedish and tuoksuköynnös in Finnish but I don't know the English name -it has white flowers that smell very sweet and I'm hoping it would bloom next spring; last year it didn't.
Beautiful dew-drops on the porch plants.
Made a porridge on our homegrown organic oats with pomegranate and banana plus an anti-flu smoothie with red oranges, pineapple, wineberries, lots of organic ginger and cilantro.
Then Dag (and all his animals) got a quick bath.
And now it's on with our clothes and heading to the harbour and hopping on the ferry to Sweden tonight for a family trip!

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW: CAKE AND MUSCLES AND LIVING ROOM DANCING
Sunday. Humid and misty outside, warm and cosy inside. Inspite of that I made it out for a late morning run. Brrr.
Then I cleaned up a long-coveted family item of mine, and old chess-table that now found it's way to the farmhouse. A closer look on it some other time.
Did some work on a set of pictures I took for a sports team's calendar that they are making to raise money. It was quite hilarious to do.
Took a break from the abs and baked a mud cake with lingonberries to take along when popping by for afternoon coffee at Eddi's brother's at the other house on the farm.
But first Dag wanted to do some dancing to whatever was on the radio, and so we did.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW - FROM SUNDAY EVENING TO NIGHT
Came home to the city; we spent the end of last week on the farm. But now that summer will one over the city flat will be our base camp again. (And now I intend to organise things and tidy up so it will be nice again; the past year it has been an awful chaos.)
This is what Tapiola is like; lots of midcentury- and sixties houses embedded in lots of green, following the landscape; building low where the landscape is low and high on the hills. Or, what old Tapiola is like, as they are building lots of new and high for the moment. Our balcony is the one with the colourful hanging lateens ont he top floor.
Most of my weekend however was spent at a fitness education course. I took as support for the dance classes and courses I hold. See how my work out bag has a neatly sewn (put two fingers up in the air and do a little double bend on them as you say "neatly") IBTC patch on it (we still have a handful left).

On my way home I popped by Anttila in Sello which is closing down and being emptied out. It's rather empty by now but I came over a hundred euros worth of shoes for only twelve; these everyday wedge sandals I still intend on using for the last warm days and a pair of girlie/granny autumn walking shoes. I got Dag a moomin scarf for a few pennies as well.

And then the sun set and we had virigin mary's on the balcony.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW
Have some friends come over to borrow our tree for a photoshoot. (It will turn out great, from the sneak peeks I saw!)

Meanwhile I'm snapping some photos for Eddi's farm business of the linen that is blooming.
And then I whip together some home made peanut butter. Half of it will go into cookies but we can look at those another time.

FOUR THINGS RIGHT NOW: THE FIRST EVENING OF MAY
Came home from celebrations in town. From our part the celebrations were rather minor again; the only bottle I had with me was one with hand disinfectant...
There was a seagull hanging out on our buildings skylight window, which is just outside our door.
I painted my toe nails in summer mode, although it's not really sandal weather here yet. (And started thinking that when looked at for a while, feet kind of look like odd hands with too short fingers.)
Then it was time for a big bowl of toffee ice cream with strawberries. And some Don Draper.
