I really enjoy browsing the Life galleries from time to time. Not that I am the kind of person who goes bazookas over a photo just because it's old and it's vintage, but they do have some fine sets of those, as well as newer ones, often with interesting captions or stories.

WELL...

...one can't always succeed.
But that was a damn shame on those fine molds.

(In my defense however, if such a one would be needed, I did manage to produce a lot of other nice not only eatable but rather delicious things during the same cooking sessions as the black rolls above. And I should have seen it coming; cleaning the house while cooking and baking and doing the hair and make up at the same time has to result in at least one minor fail I guess.

Ironically, and by coincidence -of course- on the same night, Fiona brought me this fifties vintage housewife come-in-handy-booklet on how to manage the chores of the house lightly. Just in case, might come in handy in the future then ;)

I would actually have hundreds (or well, ok, tens) of things to blog about but I've been busy with this and that lately -shows, dinners, other people's shows- so those matters will just have to wait. Right now I'm baking for this little thing I'm having tonight here at home and I do it to the tunes of some good ol' Finnish music.



(Oh, and about the skirts. I think I will have to go for both :)
